Special cat urns
More and more people are choosing to have their deceased, beloved cat cremated and keep its ashes at home, as a beautiful and valuable memento of their faithful buddy. At Artemis , you can find a unique collection of special, handmade cat urns.
A beloved family member
A cat is increasingly considered a full member of the family these days. Owners therefore give their cats all the love and good care they deserve. But one day, unfortunately, the time comes when you have to say goodbye to your beloved four-legged friend. Perhaps due to old age, an accident or because it was sick. After many years of lovingly caring for your cat, you would like to have a fitting farewell and keep a beautiful memory.
We would like to apologize in advance for all the (technical) details, which - especially in a difficult period - can be very confronting. However, we find it very important to inform you as well as possible around making the right choice.
Choosing the appropriate cat urn
Cat urns are available in different variations and material types. Take your time to make the right choice and keep in mind some aspects that we briefly explain below.
If you would like to place the urn outside (in the garden or on the balcony), choose a weatherproof material, such as ceramic. Artemis manufactures and sells only ceramic urns. Because they are fired at high temperatures, most ceramic urns are frost-resistant, and thus suitable for both indoors and outdoors.
In addition to the material, the shape and color also play an important role in making your choice. Feel free to browse through our collection of small urns and take all the time you need to decide which model suits you or the deceased cat.
Determining the volume of a cat urn
Below is a table, showing the minimum urn content based on your deceased cat's body weight. Please note that this table is based on averages. It is best to contact the crematorium to request the exact amount of ashes and determine which urn you wish to order on that basis.
| Body weight cat | Minimum urn volume |
|---|---|
| Up to 1 kg | 0,2 liters |
| 1 - 5 kg | 0,3 liters |
| 5 - 8 kg | 0,5 liters |
| 8 - 12 kg | 1 liters |
